As promised, to control the mosquito population, workers began fogging the residential areas of Ore City at 7 p.m. Friday night.
The city contracted a truck and pesticide sprayer from Lone Star. Many residents were relieved to see the trucks come through their neighborhood.
The news that two men from the area had been tentatively diagnosed with West Nile virus or encephalitis worried many, including those with children. As the trucks weaved their way through the streets and back alleys, some were just glad something was being done.
