Two woman working inside the Athens Chamber of Commerce were robbed at gunpoint Friday morning. The robber walked into the chamber around 11 a.m. under the pretense he wanted to become a chamber member. Moments later, he threatened two employees with a hand gun and tied their arms and legs with duct tape, before taking money from a safe.
Police started searching a wooded area behind the chamber and the building for evidence. The robber is described as a Caucasian male with light brown hair. He's between 5'11" to 6 feet tall.
The two woman workers involved were not seriously injured. No suspect was arrested as of Friday afternoon.
