An Ore City elderly man and a man in his 20's are both being tested for the West Nile virus after coming up with the flu-like symptoms. Health advisories authored by the mayor and city council went out Tuesday advising Ore City residents that two local men had been tentatively diagnosed with West Nile virus or possibly encephalitis. City officials say both men are still in the hospital. The elder victim is at Good Shepherd in Longview. With the virus appearing in birds and animals across Texas, officials say theres no more guessing, the disease is here. The elderly man is listed in stable condition, while the younger man's condition has not been released. Test results on whether they have the virus are expected back next week.
