Autographed Witten Jersey, Commerative Tickets Up For Auction

An Autographed Jersey from Dallas Cowboys #82 Jason Whitten will be auctioned at the Henderson County Cattle Barons Ball October 11, 2008 in Athens.

The winner of the Jersey will also receive four (4) commemorative tickets to the last Cowboys game at Texas Stadium on the 45-yard line.

In order to bid on the autographed jersey and tickets you must be present at the American Cancer Society Cattle Barons Ball. Tickets to the Ball can be purchased by contacting Mary Waddell at 903 675-4617 the Athens Economic Development Council.

Two separate sportsman adventures will be up for auction as well at the  Henderson County Cattle Barons Ball.

A three-day four night guided fishing expedition for, world record book class, Black Bass on Lake El Salto Mazatlan, Mexico, donated by mexicobasstours.com of Lewisville, Texas, will be on the auction block. Guide C. Wayne Nolan's clients have caught 11, 12, and 13 pound black bass. The package includes Guide, lodging, food and beverages.

A one to two day, guided duck hunt for up to four hunters, is also on the block at the Henderson County Fairgrounds site of the American Cancer Society fundraiser. The hunt will be on 600 acres of managed marshlands on Murvaul Creek in Panola County.

We'll see how it all shakes out, but the good news is, the Wildcats appear to be district title contenders once again. Since winning 12 games in 2013, head coach Adam Cook and company have racked up a total of 13 victories the past three seasons.
