They've studied the plan, and they like what they hear.
Today, Senator Kevin Eltife and former Tyler mayor Joey Seeber announced their support for the proposed $124 million bond to improve Tyler ISD schools.
The bond is the second phase of the district's master plan, and includes new campuses for 5 elementary schools and the St. Louis School.
Now, if the bond passes in November, it is expected to result in about a $140 property tax increase for every $100,000 your home is worth.
However, that increase would not go into effect until 2010.
