Twins Launch New Subway Diet Campaign

You've heard of Jerod, the man who lost weight by eating Subway sandwiches. Now there's Jeff and Jon Hand, identical twins from Gladewater who've lost over a hundred pounds on the subway diet.

The pair are now appearing in local Subway commercials. They've lost 225 pounds combined eating low-fat, subway sandwiches.

And since losing the weight, Jon and Jeff have gained lots of attention.

When workers at a Subway in Kilgore noticed the two auto mechanics slimming down, they asked them to write a letter to Subway's corporate office. Soon after, the pair were flying to Houston for their first photo and commercial shoot.

So what does it take to become a subway pin-up?

"I eat the six inch turkey on wheat with no cheese or dressing," said Jon."Or I get the club or the salad."

Both are 22 and say they've been overweight most of their life. They're hoping the commercials will go national.

"If it just stays local, that's okay," says Jeff Hand. "Just that this has happened is unreal."
