Henderson County Sheriff's deputy fired after official oppression charge

A Henderson County Sheriff's deputy has surrendered himself to authorities after a woman says she was touched inappropriately by the deputy.

The 28 year old says while she was waiting in the lobby of the judicial complex in Athens when a male deputy sheriff approached her.

She went into the public restroom, and as she was leaving the deputy inappropriately touched her.

After a Texas Ranger investigation, 62 year old Ronald Henry of Athens surrendered to authorities.

He is charged with official oppression, and has been fired from the Henderson County Sheriff's Department.
