Part of the big draw of the game is the halftime show. Two historically black colleges, facing off in a battle of the bands.
"This has been going on ever since the early 1900's. Whenever two HBCU's would get together, the main, exciting event was the halftime," Steer Band Director Jeffery Herbert said.
"This game is very important, vital to us," trombone section leader Marshall Johnson said. "Due to the fact that it is two HBCU's we have to have a lot of practice and a lot of preparation. It's very important because we are going against a milestone in Texas."
