Longview man Sentenced for Shooting Cousins

A man convicted Friday of the Christmas Eve 2000 murder of his cousins has been sentenced to a long prison stay.

It took a jury less than two hours to find 24 year old Alfredo Sanchez guilty of the capital murder.

All along Sanchez has maintained he was shot at first, but no evidence of a another gun was ever found.

It was at a Christmas Eve party at a Fredonia Street home where Sanchez gunned down his two male cousins.

Sanchez will spend the next 40 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
