Rose City Triathlon Rescheduled

The first Rose City Triathlon has been rescheduled for September 20.

The event originally scheduled for this Saturday, was to feature more than 175 triathletes. Competitors will range from many first-time triathletes to experienced elite triathletes.

The Rose City Triathlon will be held at Lake Tyler West, near the marina, on Saturday, Sept. 2-, beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Beginning at 6:00 a.m., the transition area will open, and at 7:15 a.m. the swim start wave staging will begin.   Athletes will face a 650-meter swim in Lake Tyler, a 14.5-mile scenic bike ride through beautifully shaded, rolling hills, and a 3.1-mile run.  Spectators can view the entire swim course and run course.
