Train derailment closes routes used for evacuees

A train derailment has closed a hurricane evacuation route used for trains.

This happened shortly before 2:00 am this morning about 4 miles west of Hawkins. That's in the Crow community.

Officials tell us 15 cars came off the track and spilled rice everywhere.

It blocked all intersections between FM 778 and west of FM 14.

No injuries were reported.
