Longview preparing for evacuees

Longview and Gregg County officials are preparing for evacuees Thursday night.

The processing center at Lear Park has been opened and is staffed to give shelter to those who need it.

And, local churches will again act as shelters.

"We're going to predict what we think is the worst scenario and be prepared for that and hope that everything will turn out better than that," said Bill Stoudt, a Gregg County Judge.

Liberty County says 50 special needs evacuees are already on their way to Gregg County.
