Proud of East Texas: Sandra's Sno-Ball Shop

For 29 years Sandra Bommarito has been cooling the palates of East Texans with her special Sno-Ball creations.  While most towns in Texas have Snow Cone shops, Sandra's Sno-Ball Shop is unique.  First of all Sno-Balls aren't Snow Cones.  The primary difference is the finer ice texture in sno-balls.  Part of Sandra's success has come from her snow like ice and her flavors. Although the basic recipes for sno-balls come from New Orleans where the sno-ball was invented, Sandra has developed a number of new flavor combinations, including popular creamy concoctions like coconut cream and pina colada.  The kids tend to gravitate to the Hanna Montana and Spiderman sno cones.

Many regular customers come every day to Sandra's shop which is open Monday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A number of customers are into the third generations of their families to enjoy the service of Sandra's Sno-Ball Shop.  The shop is located off Highway 79 South in the Henderson Plaza Shopping Center.
