New jets with more space coming to East Texas Regional Airport

Frequent flyer at East Texas Regional Airport are getting quite a high in the sky treat.

Starting this week, American Eagle turbo jet planes will fly east Texas passengers from Longview to Dallas. The new commercial flight were announced after American Airlines announced flight cut backs to save money. The old planes could only carry 35 passengers but that's all changed.

"The 50 passengers will allow us to carry more passengers to Dallas. We down two flights a day at this time but hopefully we'll be able to return that third flight back."

American Airlines offers two flights a day. The first flight arrives at 10:25 am.

Then departs at 10:50 am. The second flight arrives at 4:25 pm and departs at 4:50.
