Habitat for Humanity

I nominate the Habitat for Humanity "Tuesday crew" as a KLTV EVERYDAY HERO (S).  This group of six men--Craig Daniel, Jim Durnil, Jesse Fears, Carl Jeter, John Mattson and John Childress--have been diligent volunteers for Habitat for numerous years.  They are truly dedicated to providing adequate housing for the those in need.  All are retired, and range in age from 65 to 83.

They have become quite a team,  caring for others and each other.  In addition they have also volunteered for the Red Cross , Camp Tyler, The Cowen Center. liberacy programs, church projects, income tax assistance and other construction projects.  Three of the men and four of their wives have survived cancer.  Throughout these challenges they have continue to help others as they offer each other support.

They are good men--smart, successful, hardworking  and fun.  They should be honored.
