Mobile kitchens set for evacuees arrival

An east Texas relief group is getting ready to feed thousands of evacuees that may come to Gregg county. The east Texas disaster relief team southern Baptist men began setting up their mobile kitchens today at the Longview fairgrounds Expo center. Volunteers say they are ready to prepare three hot meals a day for as many as 5-thousand evacuees.

"With the facilities that we've got with the 3 trailers we have we can actually go a little bit beyond 5-thousand per meal out of that and sustain that at a regular pace so that would give us 15 thousand we hear the number up to 20-thousand per day" says team leader Mike Brittain of Harleton.

The relief organization runs off public donations and is made up entirely of volunteers. Bob Hallmark reporting/
