Three people have now been arrested in connection with last week's apartment shooting in Sulphur Springs.
Sulphur Springs Police Chief Jim Bayuk told KLTV the initial story of three masked intruders was all made up by a group of friends as an attempt to influence future court proceedings.
All three are charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.
19 year old Robert Mitchell Alexander Jr has been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, a first degree felony. Alexander was one of the two alleged 'victims'. He was hospitalized briefly, but is now in the Hopkins County Jail.
The same charge has been given to Michael Anthony Fuller, 19 and Cayla Denese Ray, 17.
Fuller was originally arrested last week for a charge of making a false police report, but that charge will be dropped in exchange for the felony charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.
Ray was originally arrested on charges of with tampering with physical evidence, but that will be dropped for the felony.
