Four car accident leads to three taken to the hospital today in Tyler

A four car accident close to the intersection of Amhearst and Broadway in front of the Old English shopping center led to three people going to the hospital today, according to Tyler Police.

According to Don Martin, a silver Toyota was going southbound on Broadway when it struck a small Ford Fusion car in the rear, causing the Toyota to go airborne and hit a Hummer that was going the opposite direction. The Toyota also hit a truck that was in the opposite lane.

The driver of the Toyota, Tina Fults, 36, of Tyler, was found at fault for failure to control speed.

None of the injuries were life-threatening.
