Wood County searching for those responsible for late-night burglary spree

UPDATE: Authorities say they've recovered the white Yukon used in the ATM robbery last night in Mineola in Gilmer. We'll have more information for you tonight on our evening newscasts and on KLTV.com.

Wood County authorities are looking for at least two masked men who broke into several businesses overnight.

Around 1:30 this morning, Mineola police say the men broke into the Wood County National Bank and attempted to steal an ATM.

The ATM, police say ended up being too heavy for the burglars to get out of the bank.

An hour later, police say the men who were armed drove into a Hawkins convenience store and tried to steal a safe there.

Winnsboro police say it's the same burglars who broke into their Sonic Tuesday night and stole a safe.

The men police say also stole a white Yukon that belonged to a police officer.

There is surveillance video of the men.
