A boy has come all the way from Denmark to East Texas to attend school.
15-year old Kasper Jensen flew in to Tyler Saturday afternoon, where he was greeted by his new host family. And as part of their Texas welcome, they immediately gave him a Dallas Cowboy's hat.
Jensen is here on a foreign exchange program.
"High School should be really fun, especially compared to Danish school," said Jensen. "I'm really looking forward to it and I hope this will be one of the best years of my life."
"When you look around you and at how blessed you are to have the things we have, to share that with somebody else and just with having young kids, it seemed like a really interesting thing to do," said host mother Nikki Yordy.
Jensen will be in East Texas for 10 months.
