Cripple Creek's spices used in their famous burgers and hog wings is a closed held secret.
However, they have some great tips for cooking your barbeque this summer.
After adding salt and pepper along with your spice rub onto your pork ribs, smoke for 35-45 minutes to make sure it has the great flavor added to it.
Use 98% lean patties to keep your fat down and to keep them from shrinking too much.
Add Kosher salt to your dry rub and smoke for 10 minutes on each side of the burger. Then double wrap with cooking plastic and cook in the oven at 200 degrees until the core temperature of the patties reaches 165 degrees. The plastic helps keep the burgers moist.
