East Texas Artist Using Gift To Spread Energy Consumption Message
An east Texas artist is using photography to spread the word about energy consumption.
Over the past year, Tammy Cromer-Campbell has taken several energy consumption images throughout east Texas.
Some of the historical oil field images are from the Gregg County Historical museum.
The artist says the exhibit, called "Power", is a way to get people to think about conserving energy for the future.
"I photographed these images to try to make them look at beautiful as possible and so it's almost kind of like a retraction, repulsion, type of situation of where that's a beautiful plume but what is inside that beautiful plume?" said artist Tammy Cromer-Campbell.
The Power Art exhibit will be on display from now until September at Cromer-Campbell's gallery in Longview.
