Pine Tree, Longview Football Game Moving To Tyler

It will be their first meeting as district opponents in more than 20 years, and Pine Tree and Longview have agreed to move the cross-town rivalry game to a stadium that can handle the crowd.

Over the next two seasons, the Pirates and Lobos will play their matchup at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler.  TMF Rose Stadium holds a crowd of about 14,000.

The date of the game will also change. This year's matchup will now be played Thursday, October 30, instead of Friday, October 31. John Tyler and Tyler Lee will play their rivalry game at TMF Rose Stadium in the 31st.

Pine Tree will be the home team in 2008, Longview will be the home team in 2009.
