Kilgore's Bell In Beijing For The Olympic Games

The opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Beijing started the prestigious event on Friday.

Marching proudly into the Olympic Stadim with Team USA was Kilgore's Kenta Bell. Kenta will represent the U.S. in the triple jump. The competition will be held the 18th and 21st of this month.

Bell's mother, Diane plans to travel to China to watch the games and support her son next week. His father, Kenneth, recently had back surgery and will not be able to travel, however he says he is there in spirt.

Bell's parents still reside in Kilgore.
