In Chinese culture, the number eight is considered a lucky number that is said to come with much prosperity.
Many celebrated the triple digit unity with special births and birthdays in east Texas. Today KLTV 7's Danielle Capper has this golden day.
8-8-08 - it's a day for the storybooks.
"Connor's golden birthday. Because it's 8-8-08 and he turned 8 so we wanted to do something really special and have 8 cakes," Teresa Toombs, Connor's mother, told us today.
8 year old Connor, a 2nd grader celebrated his special day today, starting at the Little Gym.
He had 8 cakes, each with a different theme.
"So the first one you had a rubber ducky party..remember your pool party? When you turned 3 you had a Shrek party...and when you turned 4 you had a ....dinosor party...and when you turned 5 you really liked Spiderman!"
8 years of parties, with this year's theme - Indiana Jones, Connor's favorite movie.

"We are going to play Laser Tag, we are going to play putt-putt, we came to Little Gym, we are going to go to our grandparent's house, our parent's house, and a pool party. We'll just do 8 different things so that when he thinks about his 8th birthday he will just be like, ugh, we did 8 things, so much I can't remember," Teresa told us.
"This is our lucky little girl, Sadie Grace," Courtney Robertson says.
This morning was a golden birthdate for this little one, Sadie Grace Robertson.
"When we knew we were going to have a scheduled C-section we thought what a cool day!"
Their cycle of life today to continue for years to come. Sadie Grace was 20 inches long, 7 pounds 14 ounces.
The Robertsons are from Athens.
