Blue Cross Blue Shield Donates Toys For Hospitalized Children

A hospital stay for a child can be a scary and intimidating experience, but today a big blue bear brought a smile and a lot of toys for the children of the pediatric ward at Mother Frances hospital.

The toys are just some of the thousands collected by Blue Cross Blue Shield employees in the east Texas area to help children.

"Some of the toys that our employees in Marshall, Palestine and Tyler offices donated...almost three thousand total," said Debbie Cox, the program coordinator of Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Along with their donated toys, each child also received their own smaller version of the stuffed blue bear.

Across the state of Texas more than 10,000 toys were donated to hospitals.
