Edgewood Decides To Keep Its Police Department

All four Edgewood police officers are back on duty indefinitely.

Thursday the city of Edgewood in Van Zandt County put its police officers on paid leave.

Due to the poor economy, mayor Charles Prater says the city needed to take a look at how the police department affected the city's budget.

This morning, council members decided to keep their police department and have no immediate plans to get rid of it.
