Tyler Elks Host Benefit For Children's Home

Sunday afternoon, the Tyler Elks Club and Pirates Club of Lake Hawkins brought together several local musicians at the Elks Lodge in Tyler.

The goal--to help raise money for the Children's Village Home for Children.

"It was great to have them call and say, we'd like to do it," said Kathy Steinocher, campus director of Children's Village of Tyler.  "We take no state or federal money at Children's Village, so again, this is a big benefit for us."

"This is what the elks do--children and veterans--that's what we're here for," said Debbie Scott with the Elks Lodge.

The Elks were able to raise $5,400 for the Children's Village.
