14-Year-Old Injured in Broadway Ave. Shooting

Tyler Police are investigating a roadway shooting that left a teenager hospitalized.

Officers responded around 11p.m. Friday to the incident on South Broadway Avenue near Troup Highway.

Police said the 14-year-old victim and his brother were travelling on Broadway when another car pulled up and the four men inside started speak to them.

The driver of that vehicle had a pistol in his hand and fired it, hitting the passenger door and striking the teenager in the leg.

Police have little suspect information just that they were described as four hispanic men last seen in a brown 4-door car, possibly a Mercury Grand Prix.

The condition of the 14-year-old is not known at this time.

If you have any information about this incident call Tyler Police at (903) 531-1000.
