Texans Draft Pick Brown Joins Team For Camp

The Houston Texans are coming off their best season in team history. Eight wins and they are hungry for more.

The Texans opened their training camp on Friday. Many players said they are looking to make 2008 the year they make their first playoff appearance.

Plagued by injures last season, the team needs to stay healthy. They got a boost Friday by the signing of draft pick Duane Brown. They signed the offensive lineman at the start practice and he hit the field with a team about an hour and a half later.

"It was very important to me," Brown said. "I wanted to get into camp and learn as much as I can. I feel like I need all the reps I can get to get where I want to be. This is definitely the starting point for the camp."
