A Fort Worth pilot, his wife and son are dead after their small plane crashes in East Texas. It happened Saturday afternoon in Kemp. That's in Kaufman County. Witnesses say the small plane went down in a fiery crash just after taking-off from a private air strip. The aircraft burst into flames and started a small brush fire. An area resident says he witnessed the whole thing.
"It started dipping down, and it looked like it had the nose up, and all of a sudden it went down," said witness Bob Thomas. "I thought okay, he's going to land over there, so I ran on up and was watching him come down, cause I like watching the planes fly around here, but I didn't like that one." The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash. The victim's names have not yet been released.
