One company moves out and shortly after another one has moved in. The City of Jacksonville welcomed its newest business Wednesday afternoon, one that brings 400 new jobs with it. Etelecare Global Solutions opened its doors Wednesday. It's located in the old Alliance Data building, a company that recently shut down causing hundreds of people to lose their jobs. City leaders say Etelecare could not have opened at a better time.
"It has been a blessing for us and a blessing for them," said Jacksonville Economic Development Council President Darrell Prcin. "A lot of the Alliance Data employees that were working here are now also working with Etelecare. A large amount of those folks were hired with Etelecare, and I think they are very pleased with what they see." So far, Etelecare has hired about 200 employees.
