High Speed Chase Through 3 East Texas Counties

A Missouri man is jailed after leading police on a wild 30 mile high speed chase through 3 East Texas counties.

Friday around 6:30 pm, a state trooper was trying to make a routine traffic stop in Panola county, when the driver sped away.

Numerous agencies joined the chase, including units from Longview and Lakeport.  The driver continued north of Highway 149 exceeding speeds of 120 miles per hour.

The chase came to an end just south of Interstate 20, as spikes were laid down, blowing out the driver's tires.

The driver refused to get out, forcing one officer to break the driver side window.  22 year old Jeremy White and a female passenger were taken into custody.  The woman was later released. Troopers say White may have run because of a parole violation in Missouri.  He's jailed on charges of evading arrest and deadly conduct.
