East Texas Passing Academy Returns To Gilmer

As a program, the Gilmer Buckeyes produce quite a few athletes playing football at the next level. Next week, some of them will be returning to Buckeye Stadium to help teach the next generation of football stars.

Gilmer will host the East Texas Passing Academy, and former Buckeyes like Manuel Johnson of Oklahoma will be there. David Snow and Curtis Brown of Texas, Daniel Jenkins of Missouri, and G.J. Kinne of Tulsa are also going to be back on hand. The former Buckeyes remember what it was like when they were the ones looking up.

"They take a lot of pride in it," Gilmer head coach Jeff Traylor said. "They keep up nwith us, we keep up with them. They came through all these camps themselves, so they know how important it is."

"They like to give back to the kids."

The camp will be at Buckeye Stadium July 14-17, from 6-9 each night. For more information, visit the camp website at EastTexasPassingAcademy.com.
