PATH Holding Annual School Supply Train Collection This Month

Throughout July, People Attempting to Help (PATH) will be collecting school supplies for Smith County children and teens.
 
PATH will distribute the school supplies to Smith County elementary, middle and high schools in August prior to the beginning of the '08-'09 school year. An estimated 18,000 children and teens will benefit from the county-wide collection.
 
This year, the organization is collecting the following:


  24-pack Crayola crayons
  #2 pencils
  Wide- and college-ruled spiral notebooks
  Wide- and college-ruled notebook paper
  Elmer's glue sticks
  Blue or black pens
  Five-tab dividers
  Colored pocket folders with brads
  Wooden rulers
  Two-inch, three-ring binders
 
Donations are accepted at the PATH office, 402 W. Front St., Tyler, or any Tyler-area Fire Department location. For more information, visit the

    An East Texas family is hoping someone can provide answers for a relative who turned up missing over the weekend. Family members reported that Felisha Pearson, 29, of Longview disappeared on Sunday and has not been seen or heard from since. According to a police report, Pearson was staying at the hotel with another person, left and never returned. Police say she left her cell phone at the hotel.
