Tyler Bicycle Club Says Bike For Economy And Exercise - Safely

The recent death of a cyclist in Tyler certainly got the attention of one biking group who want people to ride safe.

The Tyler Bicycle Club says biking is a great way to exercise and enjoy the great outdoors.

Even save a little gas - and the trend is also catching on.

"It's the first time I've seen this type of volume of people coming in to use their bikes for transportation," said David Gersch.

More bikes on the road mean more potential dangers.

Before you head out, there are some things you can do to keep themselves safe out on the roads.

Just like cars, bikers should always follow traffic safety laws.

Keep to the right, and use side roads as often as possible, and of course, always wear a helmet.
