Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews are scheduled to be at work Friday on US 259 (Kilgore Bypass) and Loop 571 in Henderson.
The work, known as mill-and-inlay, consists of a two-part convoy grinding up old pavement and replacing it with fresh hot mix. Friday's work is being done in advance of a seal coat treatment as part of the Tyler District's annual seal coat program, which will be applied at both of the above locations later this summer.
Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress.
Motorists should seek alternate routes if possible to avoid delays, and be prepared to reduce speed or stop for flaggers in and around the work zones.
