Tuesday marked the first day of mandatory workouts for the Dallas Cowboys with the start of minicamp.
The media's focus was not on who looked good on the field, but who did not show.
Terrell Owens was missing from the practice field. Coach Wade Phillips said Terrell was excused from camp to attend to a family matter. The wide receiver was at Valley Ranch before workouts began Tuesday morning but did not take to the field. TO may not work out at all this week.
Safety Ken Hamlin was also not on the field. Coach Phillips said Hamlin has yet to sign his contract.
Wide receiver Terry Glenn sparked some controversy and response from Cowboys officials Tuesday. Glenn told ESPN he wants to be released if owner Jerry Jones continues to bar him from preparing for the season by attempting to force him to sign an injury waiver.
