Pine Tree Ninth Graders Set For Upgrade

Pine Tree ISD 9th graders are headed to a brand new facility come August.

The Pine Tree ISD ninth-grade facility will be complete after a few last minute touch-ups.

It will house several new science labs equipped with hands-on equipment and high definition television.

The new building will also have the a new band hall, art studio and practice field, and is a part of the 2004, $24 million bond.

Cindy Gabehart, the principal of PTHS, said, " This the first time that our ninth graders will come to the high school campus. And we will work really hard to make them feel welcomed and a part of the school. We are offering a pirate camp this summer that will help them acclimate."

Pine Tree ISD students head back to school on August 25th.

The new multi-purpose building with gymnasium, concession stand, and 200 seat capacity is expected to open in December 2008.
