Tyler's Juneteenth Parade

They were cruising in style Saturday morning, all to celebrate Juneteenth a little bit early.

Customized cars, motorcycles, floats and more lined the streets of North Tyler Saturday morning for the annual Juneteenth Parade. Juneteenth is actually next Thursday but East Texans are having some pre-celebrations this weekend.

"It represents our freedom on this day and we just come out to celebrate more than anything," said Tina Mumphrey of Chapel Hill.

"We celebrate the past more than anything because the past is so important to us and we don't want to forget where we came from and where we are now," said Pat Kaufman.

The parade went to Woldert Park in Tyler, where there was more entertainment, free food and drinks.
