Gresham Neighborhood's Patriotic Pride

The 7th annual 4th of July parade brought plenty of tykes on bikes, as the Flint-Gresham Volunteer Fire Department kicked things off.

There was plenty of red, white and blue--from flags to the folks who dared to make a statement by painting their hair all the colors of the American flag.

It was a time for families, friends and neighbors to get together says Diane Knowles, "Patriotism wise, I don't think you can stress it enough," Knowles started this parade almost a decade ago. "I started this parade when my kids were young because my grandparents did it for us when we were little kids."
