Longview's Alleyfest Draws Crowds From All Over East Texas

It was the first full day of a traditional beginning of the summer festival, that brings thousands of visitors to Longview.  Food, fun and music are all on tap for this weekends 30th edition of Alleyfest.  Hundreds of visitors came out to enjoy the sights on Saturday, taking the kids to Kidsfest and of course enjoying the food.

One of the most attended attractions each year is the Marine Corps Chin-Up Challenge, to see what kind of shape you're in, but there is truly something for everyone.

"You get to see different things like art and get your face painted," said regular Alleyfest visitor Tori Foster.

"I tell you what the best part of being out here is seeing some of the people from Longview step up and take the Marine Corps Challenge,  come out and see what they're made of," said Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Aaron Cortz.

The festival concludes Sunday, June 8th at 4 p.m.
