Former Cowboy Bates Scheduled To Speak In Gilmer

Former Dallas Cowboy Bill Bates is scheduled to speak at Union Hill's Athletic Banquet.

The banquet begins at 7:00 p.m. tonight at the Gilmer Civic Center.

Bates will deliver his keynote speech and is then scheduled to sign autographs and take pictures for an hour following the banquet.

The event is open to the public. Admission for adults is $10 and for students $7.

Bates was a safety for the Dallas Cowboys for 15 seasons.
