Lineman Challenge Honors The Big Men Of Football

In football, we all remember the touchdowns, but the pancake blocks are just as important.

The Winona Wildcat Lineman Challenge was today, giving offensive linemen from all over East Texas the chance to shine and be recognized.

Today at Winona, the best and biggest from all over laid it on the line pushing trucks, pulling tires, running obstacle courses, and all sorts of other competitions.

It was chance for the big guys to work together, get in some conditioning, and finally get the recognition they deserve.

"It's a great experience," Grand Saline's Coltin Curtis said. "It feels really good to finally have attention. We work hard, just like the running backs and quarterbacks. No one really realizes it, but it's a great feeling to be out here working out and competing against those other schools."

"I think it's really going to help us next year," Lindale's Kyle Owens said. "We're bonding out here, that's going to help us and make us better as a team."

The competition was divided into two divisions, Marshall won the first while East Chambers won the second.
