Bramlette Elementary Students Send "Candy For Troops"

Bramlette Elementary students have a "sweet tooth" fix for some of our troops.

It's called "Candy For Troops."

Throughout the school year students, parents, and staff raised more than $600.00 to buy candy bars for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Along with the sweets, students also made cards for the soldiers. Although the candy is a treat for troops, the school says they are rewarded as well.

"When you get a kindergartner writing a soldier, saying "thank you for protecting me and making me feel safe," you know that's from the heart," said Donna Pistick,  Bramlette Elementary Head start coordinator.

This is the third year Bramlette Elementary has sent candy to the troops.
