Local Dignitaries Build-A-Bear For A Good Cause

Some local Tyler dignitaries got to put their bear-stuffing skills to the test at Friday's grand opening of Build-A-Bear Workshop in the Broadway Square mall in Tyler.

Mayor Joey Seeber, Tyler Police and Fire Departments, and the Tyler Rose Queen participated in the "Stuffed With Hugs" event which reaches out to local children.

"They were making bears, and they will be the recipients of those bears, and as I understand it, the little critters are going to get to ride in police cars and ambulances until there's a child in trauma who needs one," says Donna Jones with Build-A-Bear.

Saturday at 10:00 am, the first 200 customers can make a free bear to donate to the Tyler Fire and Police departments.
