East Texas Streets, Businesses Closing Due To Flooding

Because of widespread flooding, some East Texas streets - and businesses - are finding themselves unable to operate.

Stanley's BBQ,  located on Beckham in Tyler, is closed this morning due to flooding inside its resturant, and KLTV 7 has had reports of flooding in other businesses.

A viewer sent us these photos of W. Houston Street in Tyler, which is also flooded out today.

And, we've had reports that parts of Highway 80 in Harrison County is closed, though we are working to confirm that report now.

Laneville has areas of widespread damage, and Highway 79 in Rusk County is closed in some areas now due to high water.

If you find yourself approaching an area of a road that is flooded, do not attempt to cross the water. It's often impossible to tell how deep the water runs or if the road is washed away. Turn around and go back if this happens to you.

Stay tuned to KLTV 7 and KLTV.com for the latest on the severe weather in your area.
