Lobos Rally Behind Injured Teammate

An East Texas high school football player who suffered a serious spinal injury continues to improve but remains in intensive care.

His teammates remain there to support him.

Friday KLTV 7 Sports reported that Longview Lobo D'Mio Ingram suffered a collapsed lung and bruising and swelling of the spine after he was tackled in practice last Friday.

Tuesday, D'Mio's mother told KLTV D'Mio has been able to lift his legs some and has been doing some physical therapy from his hospital bed.

D'Mio's coaches and teammates continue to rally around his family. His mother does not have insurance.

The team's spring game will also be a fundraiser to help with D'Mio's medical bills.

The game is May 23rd at 6 p.m. at Lobo Stadium. Donations can be made at the game.

Donations are also being accepted at East Texas Professional Credit Union. They can be made to the D'Mio Ingram Fund.
