Brother Of Wounded Deputy Testifies In Capital Murder Trial

Randall Mays is accused of killing Henderson County Deputies, Tony Ogburn and Paul Habelt last year.

Today, prosecutors rested their case, but not before footage from a KLTV newscast became the topic of discussion.

A KLTV 7 photojournalist was called to the witness stand because of video we aired of Mays telling reporters why he shot the two deputies.  The defense objected to the video being played in court because Mays' attorney's were not present at the time of the recording.

The judge eventually allowed that video to be played.

Henderson County Deputy David Harris also testified, Wednesday.  His brother, Deputy Kevin Harris was wounded during the shooting.  Both witnessed the shots that killed Deputies Ogburn and Habelt.
