Linden Citizens React To Trooper Death

People in DPS Trooper Scott Burns' hometown of Linden are still trying to come to terms with his death. Townspeople today were remembering their reaction to the news of a native son's death.

"Everybody was very upset. Some people were crying they were just taken aback by what happened because its not something that happens everyday when someone in the community dies in such a violent way" said Linden resident Sasha Jones.

"I was very terrified and it was just , I was terrified and that was all I could say" said family friend Teresa Corbett.

A memorial fund has been set up in the name of trooper Scott Burns, account number 1003704, at First National Bank of Linden. An account has been set up for his daughter Michaela at Highway District 19 Credit Union in Atlanta,  account number 364200.
